Intro/test post!

Im not quite sure what date is on this blog, Im still getting used to how it works so please forgive me.

My first post was mostly written a few years back so I suppose this one needs to really be about whats happen with Jewels Therapy just now, January 2021.

Firstly last year was a very different year of course with lockdown and corona virus restrictions affecting us all. I had just planned to run some regular groups for local people and had a few Reiki and bitless bookings when that had to change. Maybe this coming year we will be able to start them up again.

Meantime I was happy enough to spend time with my own animals and offering distance sessions. Reiki is equally as effective over distance although I think most people prefer "hands on". Ive also got a few bitless distance clients.

Speaking of bitless its something I want to write about in my blogs, Ive written on my FB page but often they seem to get lost down the page so I think here will be more accessible. Infact I think my next blog will be something about bitless bridles.

Im very passionate about using bitless bridles, I use them myself and have used and tried many types over the years. I have experimented with my own Polly and Sally to see what works for them and have learned so much. Its all about communication between rider/handler and equine. I am not a "traditional" horseperson, if I find myself saying "I should" then I will question that. Just because 40 odd years ago I was told I had to do something a certain way, doesnt mean I have to do it that way now and often I dont.

Infact quite often when Im out with my girls and we have a groundwork session I'll not use any tack at all, no bridles or headcollars and I think thats my favourite!
